Mekanika, a fully owned subsidiary of the Gasan Group was established in 1978 as a mechanical electrical contractor. Today, Mekanika offers total building solutions. Since the early years Mekanika took an active role in the development of major projects including Corinthia Attard, Hilton Hotel, Radisson Bay Point Hotel and many others.
Who we are
A team of qualified engineers and building services professionals offering quality products, timely installations and reliable customer service to both residential and commercial clients. We are proud of our comprehensive and efficient aftersales service, which extends to the maintenance and servicing of all of our products.
Our team consists of around 400 highly trained individuals. Our project managers, technicians and customer support staff regularly attend training sessions overseas, ensuring that they are up to date with all our brands’ latest technological advancements. All in line with our ISO9001-2015 certification.

Health and Safety
Mekanika is continuously investing in Occupational Health and Safety, safeguarding its workers at all times.
We are constantly growing, with employees from different countries, backgrounds and cultures. We have raised our safety standards, ensuring that our employees work in a safe and healthy environment. All thanks to a concerted effort by Company Directors, Management and all Staff.
Every day we work towards our goal – ‘working in a safer and healthier environment’. This is implemented by our Health & Safety Policy:
- All Health and Safety documentation is in line with legislation, and all actions taken are recorded;
- General Safety Guidelines have been issued for each section (risks identification vs managing of the same risks);
- Issue and use of all Personal Protective Equipment, and hoisting and lifting equipment is registered;
- Risk assessments and follow-up inspections are conducted on all work sites;
- Near misses and accidents onsite are investigated and recorded;
- Frequent lectures\briefings for all employees are held in-house;
- Mandatory training on Health and Safety induction and awareness, legislation in brief, basic knowledge of risk assessment, ethics, motivation and behaviour, are offered;
- First Aid, Workers Health and Safety Representative courses are delivered annually by certified entities such as the OHSA;
- Planned and random Health and Safety inspections are conducted frequently on different sites. Any shortcomings observed are rectified and action is taken immediately to avoid re- occurrence;
- We have a Fire Safety Policy in place. Fire drill training is conducted at least once a year, bringing employees up to speed on evacuation drills, location of fire assembly points and other procedures. Fire courses are also held annually at a local credited fire school.
Furthermore, First Aid, Workers Health and Safety Representative courses are held by certified, recognized and well-known entities, such as the Occupational Health and Safety Authority, on annual basis.
We believe that it is paramount that our employees are aware of the risks and hazards involved in the workplace and how to reduce or eliminate these risks, by abiding to all safety standards and regulations, avoiding injuries or accidents in the workplace.
